The highlights of the proposed budget inlude:

  • 5.5 cent increase in the property tax rate;
  • Over $1.5M in new debt service;
  • Over $1M increase for Medicaid entitlement;
  • Open expanded Mebane Library facility;
  • Create 22 new jobs for our citizens;
  • Fund increased local school supplement

A public hearing on the proposed budget will be held at the Alamance County Administrative Building in downtown Graham on June 6, 2005 at 7:00 pm.
