Be Hurricane Aware
When a hurricane hits, if you've prepared properly, there are still steps you need to take to ensure your family's (and your own) safety. You should know what the difference is between weather watches and warnings, and should act appropriately. Pay attention to emergency management officials, and follow all directions given for evacuations.
If a hurricane comes, stay indoors unless absolutely necessary. Find shelter immediately. If you are in an area prone to flooding and flash flooding, seek higher ground immediately. Avoid flooded roadways. Keep an ear out with weather radios. Be prepared for tornados and high winds.
Be safe. Stay alive.
