Comprehensive Annual Financial Report

Every year, pursuant to NC State law, Alamance County undergoes and audit by an independent CPA firm. In addition, two component units of the County - the Alamance County Tourism Development Authority and the Alamance County Transportation Authority - undergo independent audits as well. The auditor's report then serves as the base for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the County.

Alamance County has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the past 13 years from the GFOA. This year's report has been submitted for review as well.

Comprehensive Annual Financial Report

Every year, pursuant to NC State law, Alamance County undergoes and audit by an independent CPA firm. In addition, two component units of the County - the Alamance County Tourism Development Authority and the Alamance County Transportation Authority - undergo independent audits as well. The auditor's report then serves as the base for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the County. For the FY2002-2003 report, Alamance County has implemented GASB Statement No. 34 which significantly changed several statements included in the CAFR in an effort to make it easier for users to understand the financial position of the government.

Alamance County has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the past 12 years from the GFOA. This year's report has been submitted for review as well.
