Health Education works in the clinic and the community conducting classes and programs about Health Department services and many health topics.
Who can use our Health Education Services? Health Educators are available to go into business, civic groups, churches, or other community groups who are interested in knowing more about health department services or health topics.
What other services do Health Educators provide?
Statistics about Alamance County's health (such as teen pregnancy rates, heart disease, cancer, etc...)
Child Safety Seat Checks We have a Health Educator who is trained by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to check your child's car seat to make sure it is installed correctly. Did you know that 90% of parents and care givers have their child's safety seat installed incorrectly?
We also have a teen pregnancy prevention program, a infant mortality prevention task force, a child asthma prevention task force, and a Safe Kids coalition. For more information about these programs call 570-6382.
