GUIDE TO DISPOSAL AT THE LANDFILL
No liquids, chemicals, paints* (etc.) or hazardous waste accepted in any disposal area.
Anyone dumping unacceptable waste in an area will be asked to remove that waste to its
proper disposal area. Used motor oil is the only liquid that is accepted at the landfill
(maximum 5 gallons) - Must be poured into the recycling drums under shelter beside scale house.

BRUSH & YARD WASTE - $19 Ton
ACCEPTABLE: Brush/Tree Limbs, Grass Clippings, Leaves, Stumps.

CONSTRUCTION / DEMOLITION MATERIALS - $32 Ton
ACCEPTABLE: Bricks, Concrete, Wood/Lumber, Roofing Shingles, Asphalt, Gravel,
Drywall/Sheetrock, and Pallets.

APPLIANCES
ACCEPTABLE: Appliances - No Charge if the appliance is on the State White Goods List.
No trash in this area, please!
SCRAP METAL - $36 Ton
Most scrap metal is accepted. Metal barrels are accepted if clean and at least one end removed.
Lawnmowers and weed eaters are accepted if the oil and gas have been removed.
No trash in this area, please!
NOT ACCEPTABLE: No Tires on Rims.
No Gas Tanks, Oil, or other Fuel Tanks.
No Propane, Oxygen, or other Gas Cylinders.
For proper disposal of Propane Gas Cylinders call a local dealer of propane gas or

TIRES - $76.56 Ton
ACCEPTABLE: All Car, Truck and Off-Road Tires on or off rims are charged at $76.56 per ton.
Inner tubes are charged at $36 per ton.
Note: Scrap Tire Certification forms and E500G Tax forms are required from Tire Generators and Haulers. Tire Haulers must have a scrap tire hauler number assigned by the State.

BURNED MATERIAL IN 55 GALLON CANS - $10 EACH
These cans of material are placed in an isolated dumpster at the scale house.

LANDFILL
ACCEPTABLE: Residential, Industrial, and Commercial Waste
NOT ACCEPTABLE: Asbestos (non-friable) must be approved by the Solid Waste Director - call 336 376-8902 for specifics.

All Brush or Yard Waste must go to Yard Waste Area.

All Metal should go to the Metals Area.
