How does the county know my property’s value?
Personal property is valued at 100% of market value each year.  Real property on the other hand is valued at 100% of market value once every eight years.  Alamance County’s last revaluation was in 2001.  The next scheduled revaluation required by state-law will be effective January 1, 2009.
