Pleasant Grove Recreation Center Programs
The Pleasant Grove Recreation Center suffered fire and smoke damage on Monday, June 9, 2008 due to a blaze that originated in a supply closet. The fire was contained to a small area of the building. However, smoke damage was experienced throughout the facility.
The Pleasant Grove Recreation Center will be closed to the public until further notice. The facility grounds, including athletic fields, walking track and playground will remain available to visitors.
The summer camp for children ages 6-12 years will begin on Monday, June 16th as scheduled. The camp will be relocated to the Pleasant Grove Elementary School and remain there for the camp’s duration. Programs that were hosted at Pleasant Grove for Senior Citizens including bingo and potluck lunches will be relocated to the Lakeview Civitan building located on Roberta Drive near Glencoe Mill Village.
