Welcome to the Alamance County GIS Portal. Through this system, you can view, create, and print maps, search and view tax parcel data, and print property cards.

To start using the GIS System, please read over the following tips and guidelines. Help is provided on the pull-down menu to assist you when it is needed.

To begin doing a parcel search, click on the "Parcel Search" button above. If you know the approximate location of your property or area of interest, you can use the map window and navigation buttons "Zoom-In" "Zoom-Out" or "Pan" . You can then use the "Identify" button and click on the feature for additional information. For an even more precise search that may not be listed in the "Parcel Search" tools or you want to search for information on another layer, you can use the "Selection" tools located on the toolbar.

Some additional map layers available for viewing include School Locations/Districts, Parks, Floodplain, 5ft contours and city limits. Click the "Layers" button to view what is available.

Fun Tips!

• You can use your mouse wheel to Zoom-In or Out.
• The "My Maps" button remembers where you have been so you can go back to a previous view.
• You can add all sorts of graphics to your map by using the "Insert" button.
