As the Alamance County Clerk of Superior Court, David Barber is committed to building a court system that is accessible, fair, efficient, and responsive. He leads a staff of over 40 employees who are responsible for maintaining all case records, collecting monies on behalf of the courts and sitting as judge in a wide range of estate and special proceeding matters.
David Barber was elected Clerk of Superior Court by the people of Alamance County in November of 2010. Prior to becoming Clerk of Court, Mr. Barber was Register of Deeds of Alamance County for six years. Before that Mr. Barber was an attorney in private practice with an office in Graham.
David Barber is a native of Alamance County. He graduated from Williams High School and Elon College. He received his law degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. He received an M.A. in History from Catholic University in Washington D.C.
Mr. Barber is a member of Alamance Community College’s Board of Trustees. He is married and lives in Elon.
