Commissioners Meetings are held in the Commissioners Meeting Room located on the 2nd Floor of the County Office Building, located at 124 W. Elm St., Graham, NC.  In general, the first meeting of the month is held on the first Monday of the month at 9:00 AM.  The second meeting is held on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 PM.  Changes will be noted below.

Because online videos of the commissioners meetings are not streamed “live”, but are recorded and uploaded, there will be a delay between the commissioners’ meeting and the availability of the video on the county website.

Videos are viewable with the cooperation of Youtube and Piedmont-Triad Time-Warner Cable.  You may watch broadcasts of our regular meetings on Time-Warner Cable’s Public Access Channel on Wednesday nights at 10:00 PM or directly after the previous broadcast if the previous broadcast extends beyond 10:00 PM.  We will also maintain a backlog of meeting videos here for at least 3 months.

Prior to each regular meeting, the Alamance County Commissioners receive a Commissioners Packet. This packet contains items that are on the agenda of the upcoming meeting. Unless materials are specifically protected by law, the Commissioners packet is considered public information.

To assist the public, Alamance County posts the contents of these packets to the Alamance County Website. When possible, we publish the entire contents of the packet to the county website for your convenience. These files are Adobe Acrobat PDF files and should be readable if you have software to read PDF files. An example of such software is the Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is free to download from http://www.adobe.com.

There are occasions, however, when items may be removed from the online packet. The removal of items does not necessarily mean that the item is not public information. There are several reasons that an item may be removed from an online packet, including, but not limited to:

  • Material that does not conform to web accessibility standards, including documents that are scanned
  • Material that exceeds our websites resource capabilities or web policy standards

Some documents may contain elements which are not readable with screen reading technology. For a paper copy of any of these documents, please contact the Clerk to the Board at 336-228-1312.
