Criminal Justice Partnership Advisory Board

Purpose: The board’s role is to help the community address the complicated questions of justice, costs, and the appropriate punishment for offenders. The board provides guidance and supervision to multiple state supported programs. Annually the board will develop a Community Corrections Plan assessing the needs of the criminal justice system and methods to improve its functions. The board will seek funding from local, state and federal sources to support the initiatives of the plan. The board will monitor and direct the budget and supported activities of these funds. The board is also a forum for discussing current problems of the criminal justice system and developing solutions to solve those problems. Requirements for Membership: County Commissioner, County Manager, Superior Court Judge, District Court Judge, District Attorney, Criminal Defense Attorney, County Sheriff, Chief of Police, Probation Officer, Community Service Coordinator, Mental Health, Public Health, Substance Abuse, Employment and Training, Community-based Corrections Program, Victim Services Program, Member of the Business Community, Victim of a Crime, Members at Large.
