Ballot Questions

There will be two (2) questions for all Alamance County voters on the ballot in the upcoming November Presidential Election.

Question #1

This question asks county voters to vote on whether or not to add 1/4 cent to our local sales tax rate.

Local sales and use tax at the rate of one-quarter percent (0.25%) in addition to all other State and local use taxes

Question #2

This question asks county voters to vote on the authorization of $15,000,000 in bonds that will be used for expanding and improving facilities at Alamance Community College.

[ ] FOR           [ ] AGAINST
Shall the order adopted on August 20, 2012, authorizing not exceeding $15,000,000 Community College Bonds of the County of Alamance, North Carolina, for the purpose of providing funds, with any other available funds, for expanding and improving the facilities for Alamance Community College, including the construction of an additional building and other facilities to provide additional space for classrooms, laboratories and storage and the acquisition of any necessary land, equipment and furnishings, and authorizing the levy of taxes in an amount sufficient to pay the principal of and the interest on said bonds, be approved?
