I would first like to say how excited I am to be chosen as the County Manager of Alamance County.  I appreciate the County Board of Commissioners having the confidence in me to do the job, and look forward to working with everyone to make Alamance County the best it can be.  I do want to thank Tim Burgess and for the wonderful work he is doing in the interim, and I look forward to working with him and the rest of the wonderful staff full-time.

Just to let you know about my background – I received my undergrad degree from UNC-Pembroke in Public Administration and my Masters in Public Affairs from Western Carolina University.  I worked in Troy, NC as the administrative assistant to the Manager, then as the Town Manager in Fletcher, NC for over 12 years until August 2005.  Since August 2005 I have served as City Manager of the City of Laurinburg, NC.  I am married, with three boys (7; 9; and 10) who will move up to the area once school and baseball seasons are over.

My first full day will be April 6, and we as a family are excited about the new opportunities and challenges Alamance County offers.  Please let me know if I can be of any assistance, as we move forward working together.   Thanks again.
