Alamance County has developed a pilot program to manage the disposal and recycling of mobile homes which provides owners with a choice for the proper disposal of mobile homes.  The Owner of a mobile home pays one-half of the moving costs of the mobile home in advance to the County, and the County pays the remaining one-half to a qualified mobile home mover to transport these mobile homes to the Alamance County Landfill.  Upon the de-construction of the mobile home, the County will recycle and sell all metals and recyclable materials, and the proceeds from such sale of materials shall be retained by the County towards its share of the moving costs for future mobile homes.

If you have questions regarding this pilot program, or have a mobile home that you would like to have moved under this program, please call Jason martin, Planning Director at 336-570-4052.
