Training

The Alamance County EMS Training Officer's responsibilities include record keeping, scope evaluations, orientation for new hires, protocol revisions, and to provide continuing education training and recertification for ACEMS, Alamance County Rescue and Central Communications. All ACEMS personnel must documents 36 hours per year of continuing education and maintain certifications in ACLS, ITLS, PALS and BCLS.

Medical Control

The Alamance County Medical Director’s responsibilities include providing medical direction, establishing protocols and procedures to be followed by field providers. Also reviews system performance and performs Quality Assurance. The Medical Director is part of a team comprised of the EMS Director, Training Officer and Shift Supervisors to provide excellent pre-hospital care to the people of Alamance County.
