Alamance County has been granted Membership by the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (“NCHFA”) under the 2012 cycle of the Single-Family Rehabilitation Program (“SFR12”). Alamance County has been allocated an initial set-aside of $160,000 which it plans to apply toward the rehabilitation of three to four houses within Alamance County but not located in the city limits of the city of Burlington. After the demonstrated successful use of the initial set-aside, the County may access additional funds, depending on availability, on a unit-by-unit basis from the SFR12 loan pool.
The assistance will be in the form of a grant for individual homeowners who meet the eligibility requirements listed below. Mobile homes and multi-family dwellings are not eligible.
Eligibility-Owner occupied homes only
· Cost of necessary repairs must be at least $5,000 but not more than $45,000 including all mandatory and energy-related measures.
· Household must meet program income and special need requirements
· Priority for assistance will be given based on income and special need targeting (elderly and disabled households)
· Dwelling must not be located inside the Burlington City Limits.
In order to be eligible for assistance your household income (from all sources) must not exceed the levels shown below:

Pre-applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis; however, priority for assistance will be given based on income and special need targeting (elderly and disabled households). Pre-applications will be accepted through January 4, 2013.
