ACRPD Mission Statement

The Alamance County Recreation and Parks Department will provide parks, trails and programs that inspire visitors and welcome all participants.

Recreational & Rental Fees as of July 1, 2012

Cedarock Park will be Closed to the general public Friday, May 17 through Sunday, May 19 for the US Masters Disc Golf Championship

Spectators for the event are welcome, however horse trailers will not be allowed on the property at these times.  Thank you for your cooperation.

The Alamance County Recreation and Parks Department manages parks and community centers at the follwing locations:

• Cedarock Park
• Shallow Ford Natural Area
• Great Bend Park at Glencoe
• Pleasant Grove Park and Community Center
• Eli Whitney Park and Community Center

Alamance County offers many hiking and paddle opportunities including the Haw River Trail and the NC Mountains-to-Sea Trail.  The Alamance County Recreation and Parks Department manages accesses to the Haw River Paddle and Hiking Trail at the following locations:

• Altamahaw Paddle Access
• Shallow Ford Natural Area
• Great Bend Park at Glencoe
• Glencoe Paddle Access
• Saxapahaw Lake Paddle Access
• Saxapahaw Mill Race Paddle Access

Alamance County offers youth athletic programs including baseball, softball, t-ball, football and basketball.

Alamance County offers a variety of programs to fit the specific needs of our Special Populations that include youth, adults and seniors.  These include:

• Alamance County Special Olympics
• Leisure Service Programs

Alamance County offers many recreational programs at the parks and centers it operates for all age groups including:

• Special Events
• Senior Programs
• Pleasant Grove Summer Camp
• Outdoor Programs
