Our parks and trails are clean, safe and beautiful. Our visitors return again and again. Everyone is welcome.
Cedarock Park is located at 4242 R. Dean Coleman Rd., Burlington, NC 27215. The park's 414 acres are home to two disc golf courses open and wooded, several trails including hiking trails, ADA accessible trail, equestrian trail, fishing pond, picnic shelters, beautiful scenery and a historical farm. Please note that the Mountain Bike Trail is CLOSED until the new trail system is in place. Call 570-6759 for more information.
Located at 1955 Gerringer Mill Rd., Burlington, NC 27217, the Shallow Ford Natural Area is Alamance County's newest park and first natural area. Area includes 5 miles of hiking trails, 2 paddle accesses, backcountry camping and picnic areas.
Great Bend Park at Glencoe is located at 350 Greenwood Dr., Burlington, NC 27217. The park has approximately 20 beautifully wooded acres along the Haw River with almost a mile of river frontage which offers spectacular views from the hiking trails and designated fishing areas. Picnicking, fishing, hiking and paddle access points area available. The park is also adjacent to the Historic Glencoe Mill Village.
The Glencoe Paddle Access is located at 2348 Glencoe St., Burlington, NC 27217. The access offers picnicking, fishing, parking for the Carolina Mill section of the Haw River Trail, and access to the Haw River for canoes and kayaks. The Glencoe Paddle Access is also connected to Great Bend Park at Glencoe by walking trail.
The Saxapahaw Lake Paddle Access is located at 6096 Jordan Dr., Saxapahaw, NC 27340. Activities include picnicking, fishing, and access to the Haw River for canoes and kayaks.
The Saxapahaw Mill Race Paddle Access is located at 6079 Swepsonville-Saxapahaw Rd., Saxapahaw, NC 27340. Activities include picnicking, fishing, and access to the Haw River for canoes and kayaks.
The Altamahaw Paddle Access is located at 2996 N NC Hwy 87, Elon, NC 27244. Activities include picnicking, fishing, and access to the Haw River for canoes and kayaks.
The Eli Whitney Community Center is located at 4110 E. Greensboro-Chapel Hill Rd., Graham, NC 27253. The facility includes a full-sized gymnasium, fitness room and classroom. Outdoor facilities include a walking track, playground and picnic shelters. The Bingo, Potluck and Line Dance programs are being held at the Old Eli Whitney Fire Department.
The Pleasant Grove Community Center is located at 3958 North NC Highway 49, Burlington, NC 27217. The Community Center includes a fitness room and an activity room. There is also a full-size gymnasium. Outdoor facilities include a lighted baseball/softball field, a walking track, playground and picnic shelters.
