Special Populations

The Alamance County Recreation and Parks Department offers a diverse Special Olympics program and a program specifically for residents with visual disabilities. Special Olympics is one of the largest volunteer-driven sports organizations in Alamance County. It is the mission of Special Olympics to provide children and adults who have intellectual disabilities the opportunity to train and compete in Olympic-type sports.
