ACRPD Leisure Service Programs for Special Populations

Visually Impaired Program (VIP'S)- The Alamance County Recreation and Parks Department offers a program for residents of Alamance County with visual impairments.  Throught this program we provide monthly leisure and recreational activities to enhance the quality of life for residents of Alamance County.  Participants are welcome to involve family members and peers in these activities.  Coordinated events for young adults through seniors include trips, luncheons, games, sports and more!  For a calendar of activities please call 336-570-6760 or email the Special Populations Coordinator. 

 

Z-Cats Bowling- A group of adults with disabilities who bowl regularly at Z-Bowl of Mebane.  This program runs from February to June with a cost of $25 per athlete.  Interested persons can call 336-570-6760 or email the Special Populations Coordinator.
