Enforcement of Child Support Obligations
When a parent fails to pay the court-ordered child support or does not pay the full amount, the child support enforcement agency may do one or more of the following:
- Wage garnishment
- Tax intercept
- Non-compliance notice
- Credit Reporting
- Passport Denial
- Liens
- Court Action- If court action is necessary and the non-custodial parent lives in Alamance County; the papers are given to the Alamance County Sherriff's department to serve.
If the non-custodial parent lives in another county, the papers are given to the county sheriff where the non-custodial parent lives.
