Marriage licenses may be obtained between 8:00 a.m.and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The license is valid for 60 days from the date of issuance and may be used in any county in the state.

Both parties to a marriage must appear to obtain the license.

Applicants 18 years of age and older must provide their Social Security card and photo I.D.. The following will be accepted in lieu of a social security card:

Numi sheet from the Social Security Office

Tax Return or W-2

Pay Stub with complete Social Security number on it

If applicant does not have a Social Security number, they may present a sworn statement.

Recent Divorce

If either party has been divorced within the past year of the license application, the divorce decree must be verified. You may present the original or a certified copy of the decree.
