DOCUMENT SHREDDING SERVICES

Alamance County Landfill offers shredding services for sensitive and confidential documents.  Materials will be securely destroyed on site at the landfill using a heavy duty, high volume cross cut shredder.  All of the shredded paper is recycled.

This service is free to residents and businesses.   A limit of four “banker boxes” or four bags of material per customer per visit will be observed.

Customers wishing to witness shredding can do so by making an appointment (Monday-Saturday) by calling 376-8902.

Material drop-off (non-witness) is also an option during regular business hours.  Drop-off hours are Mon-Fri, 7:00 am-6:00 pm, Saturday, 7:00 am-5:00 pm, and Sunday, 1:00 pm-5:00 pm.

Suggested items include bank statements, tax documents, and other documents with personal information such as account and social security numbers.  Staples and paper clips are acceptable – no books, binders, journals, ledgers, cassettes nor VHS tapes.

For further questions, please contact the landfill at (336) 376-8902.
