Alamance County is actively engaged in community development efforts in a variety of ways. Our primary efforts revolve around Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding through non-entitlement/small cities program administered by the North Carolina Department of Commerce. This funding is used to benefit the low-to-moderate income citizens of Alamance County through programs such housing rehabilitation, infrastructure improvements, housing development, and infrastructure connections.

Alamance County has also applied for and received funding from the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency for housing rehabilitation and urgent repairs.

The Alamance County Planning Department is always looking for new grants and programs to aid our low income, elderly, and disabled citizens. If you would like to receive more information regarding these programs, please contact the Alamance County Planning Department at 336-570-4053.
