You have the option to contest monetary penalties by filing a written request with the Alamance County Attorney’s Office no later than thirty (30) days from violation issuance. The written appeal request should contain all the information you believe to be necessary to resolve your case. Once the written appeal has been received, the Animal Control Board will review your submission and the written reports from the Animal Control Officer to determine if the evidence supports the issuance of the monetary penalty.
