At their regular meeting on October 19, 2015, the Alamance County Commissioners honored Willie Mae Currin for her lifetime of service as a teacher and member of the North Carolina Senior Tar Heel Legislature.
Mrs. Currin was joined by her family and grateful citizens of Alamance County who joined the commissioners in honoring her service. She shared her appreciation for the people of Alamance County, saying that they “have been wonderful, and I have loved everyone one of them. I have met so many lovely people, I really have.”
