State of Emergency Declared for Alamance County

Amy Scott Galey, Chair of the Alamance Board of Commissioners, declared a local State of Emergency for Alamance County effective today, April 13, 2020, at 5:00pm. This was in response to the tornado that touched down in the southern part of the county earlier today.

A state of emergency allows the County to coordinate and request additional emergency supplies and resources to mitigate the impact of the tornado damage.

In addition, Chair Galey amended the COVID-19 Alamance County State of Emergency effective today, April 13, 2020 at 12pm. This amended declaration shall remain in effect for five additional days unless further modified or rescinded.
