Jesse Ayers with the Alamance County Maintenance Department, was nominated for Alamance County’s SOAR Award for Employee Excellence during the 3rd Quarter, FY 2014-2015. Below is an excerpt from the submitted nomination:
During the night on Wednesday, February 4, the boiler at DSS had to be shut down. It was very cold outside the next morning, but when I arrived at work at 6:30 a.m., Jesse had the building toasty warm in almost all areas! He was very concerned about all areas be comfortable for both the employees of DSS and the clients who would be coming in to DSS and the Health Department that day.
I understand that Jesse was at work by 5:00 a.m. that morning to make sure that we had favorable working conditions. When I arrived, he had a smile on his face and a very positive attitude, This was repeated on Friday, February 6 with the same cheerfulness and positive attitude.
I have observed this young man at other times going about his maintenance work at DSS and the Health Department with the same smile and kind words. He appears to be a very pleasant young man with a dedication to this county and the buildings where he works.
