Volunteers are the heartbeat of Special Olympics and help make the local programs possible. Do you love sports and have a heart for helping others? We need you!

Coaching

We rely on Special Olympics coaches to help athletes with intellectual disabilities find their own strengths and abilities and to show them how to build upon those strengths and improve every day. If you are interested in coaching Special Olympics please complete the coaching interest form from the SONC website, linked below.

Become A Coach – Click to Complete the Coaching Interest Form (First step to becoming a coach)

After completing the Coaching Interest Form, a member of the SOAC team will reach out regarding the next steps. The chart below outlines some of the training and requirements required for coaches. This is for information only – our coordinator will walk you through each step of the process.
