Explore Archery

Upcoming Explore Archery Sessions (Registration will open week of August 2):
September 9-October 14 • Cedarock Park
October 26 – November 30 • Pleasant Grove Community Center

Explore Archery is an innovative education program focused on introducing beginners of all ages and abilities to the lifelong sport of target archery (must be 8 by the first session). Explore Archery is a versatile archery education program that is fun, rewarding, developmentally progressive and — most important — safe.

Join us for a 6 Week course that will teach you the fundamentals of target archery. We will cover range safety, equipment, shooting form, shot execution, and scoring.

We’ve made a few adjustments to our program so that we can offer it safely during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will limit each class to 8 archers. There will be 6 feet of space between each shooting station and there will be no sharing of equipment. Our staff will be sanitizing equipment between classes. Also, with these classes being inside, wearing a mask is REQUIRED at all times.

Registration Fee: $40 for Alamance County residents, $50 for non-residents. Your registration fee covers everything. You do not need to purchase any equipment, we will provide everything you will need.

This is a perfect opportunity for parents to get involved as well. Adults and kids age 8 and up are invited.

All sessions are lead by USA Archery Certified Level 2 Instructors:
Nolan Carter
Jason Witherspoon

Any makeup dates due to inclement weather will be added to the end of the program.
