Run Club Couch to 5K

Location: Cedarock Park & Pleasant Grove Community Center

Reach your goals this year! Alamance Parks is hosting a 12-week Couch to 5k training program. We will begin the program in February at two locations, Cedarock Park and the Pleasant Grove Community Center. Participants may join us weekly at either or both to run with others. You will need to also run some on your own time throughout the week. We are excited and ready to cheer you on throughout the course of this program. Our team has designed a training plan to get you ready to run a 5k in 12 weeks, no matter your prior experience. This program is FREE and a great way to kick off your 2021!

We will meet at Pleasant Grove Community Center on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00pm and Cedarock Park Shelter #3 on Thursdays from 4:00-5:00pm.

We are also creating a Strava App club for you to join. Strava is a free app and you can sync your smartwatch or use the app to track your workouts. This creates community and lets us cheer you on and follow your progress as you advance through the weeks. Simply search for “Alamance Park Run Club” under the “clubs” tab on the app or website.
