Summer Saddles Horse Camp

Cedarock Equestrian Center • June 20-24, 2022

Join us for Camp Summer Saddles – a week-long summer camp for beginning riders, ages 10-14. Campers will learn basic skills including equine safety, proper horse care, barn etiquette, grooming, saddling, and horse handling skills from the ground. Campers will also gain knowledge of horse anatomy and tack names. All campers will develop basic riding skills and experience several different horseback riding disciplines with daily riding lessons (English, western trail riding, etc.).

To break it all up Alamance Parks staff will provide a little recreation fun each day.


Camp Details:

Program time: 8:30 – 3:00 PM
Drop off time: 8:00 – 8:30 AM
Pick up time: 3:00 – 3:30 PM

Campers will need to bring a lunch Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Lunch will be provided on Tuesday and Thursday (details will be given to registrants ahead of time)

All campers will need to wear closed-toed shoes while doing equestrian activities. Boots with a heel are preferred. We will provide all helmets, tack, horses, etc.


Camp Fees

The cost is $375 per participant for the full week of camp. The fee includes instruction, materials, and lunch on Tuesday and Thursday.
