Cedarock Park Trail Riding

Alamance Parks now offers horse trail rides and private riding lessons! These services are facilitated by Sunset Ridge Equestrian. All trail ride sessions will be hosted at the Cedarock Equestrian Center. All necessary safety equipment and a horse will be provided.
Trail Rides are approximately 45 minutes to an hour through wooded terrain. This is a walking-only ride and is appropriate for beginners. The group will be led by an experienced trail guide. All necessary safety equipment will be provided. Rides are available for ages 6 and up. All trail rides are $50 per person.
Trail rides and riding lessons are offered Tuesday through Sunday. Availability is subject to weather and trail conditions. Other times may be available by special request. Kaitlin Harrington
Kaitlin is the primary trial guide and instructor for private lessons. Kaitlin has a background in Chemical Engineering. Her passion is in helping the environment, including developing and running low environmental impact and waste-reducing processes. Kaitlin teaches English, Western, jumping, and dressage. Kaitlin has many years of experience. She has been riding horses since the age of 10 and has competed in multiple disciplines with multiple horses including western pleasure, hunt seat, jumping, dressage, and saddleseat. Kaitlin loves trail riding and developing learners of all ages and abilities.

Shaun Savage
Shaun is responsible for facilities management and also serves as a trail guide. Shaun is the farm manager of Bacon Farms in Hillsborough, NC. Shaun has trail guide experience at numerous parks across North Carolina.

Grace Alston
Grace is responsible for horse care and also serves as a trail guide. Grace is a working student at Bacon Farms.
Cedarock Equestrian Barn
In May of 2021, a 10 stall stable was completed at the Cedarock Equestrian Complex. The addition of this barn enables us to host horse rides and other equestrian services to the public. For more information about the Cedarock Equestrian Complex, contact Alamance Parks at 336-229-2410.
