Camping
General Information For All Sites:
- Sites are reserved from 3 PM through 10 AM the next day. Please select your arrival day as your reservation time. We will know you are staying until the morning.
- The fee for camping is $10 per night ($15 per night for double or group campsites).
- Tent camping only; campers and RVs are not permitted.
- You may reserve camping in advance online at Recdesk (alamance.recdesk.com) or call the park office to check availability (336) 229-2410. Special arrangements may be made for organizations or special events by contacting the park office.
- Display your confirmation on your vehicle’s windshield to inform staff of the reservation when closing the facility.
- Park gates are closed and locked at the posted closing time for your protection. There is no exiting or entering after closing time. In case of an emergency during your stay, call 911 or contact the Alamance County Sheriff’s Department at 336-570-6300.

Cedarock Park
Cedarock Park offers 6 campsites which include a 12′ x 12′ tent pad, picnic table, and a fire ring. All sites are shaded by hardwoods and are just a short walk from the Park Office and bathrooms. Parking is no more than 40 yards from each site. Campsite 5 is a double/group camping site.
Check-in at the park office upon arrival.
Reservations must be made 2 days in advance.
Cedarock Equestrian Center
The Cedarock Park Equestrian Center offers 4 campsites. Each site includes a 12′ x 12′ tent pad, fire pit, separate parking with space for trailers, water, and a picnic table. Campsite #3 is a double/group camping site. All campsites are just a short walk to an enclosed riding ring.
The entrance to the complex is a separate entrance just 50 yards from the Cedarock Park main entrance.
Check-in at the park office upon arrival.
Reservations must be made 2 days in advance.
Cane Creek Mountains Natural Area
Cane Creek Mountains Natural Area offers 4 primitive campsites. Campsites include a 12′ x 12′ tent pad, picnic table, and a fire ring. All sites have vehicle parking and are approximately one-tenth of a mile from the restroom in the main parking lot.
Campsite 2 has two tent pads & space for group camping.

Haw River Trail – Great Bend Park
Great Bend Park offers 3 campsites which include a 12′ x 12′ tent pad, picnic table, and a fire ring. All sites are shaded by hardwoods and are just a short walk from the Haw River and Glencoe Dam. Parking is approximately 1/5 of a mile from the camping area with a vault restroom facility available.
Haw River Canoe & Kayak, a local outfitter and partner, offers boat rentals for those looking to paddle the river during their stay. They can take care of everything needed to enjoy a paddle trip during your stay. For more information, visit hawrivercanoe.com.
Haw River Trail – Shallow Ford Natural Area
Shallow Ford Natural Area offers 3 primitive backcountry campsites which include a 12′ x 12′ tent pad, picnic table, and a fire ring. The sites are located approximately one mile from the parking area with a vault restroom facility.
Access by hiking or paddling only!
Haw River Trail – Sellers Falls
Sellers Falls offers 3 primitive campsites which include a level tent area and a fire ring. There is no potable water or bathroom facilities. All trash must be packed out.
Sites are grouped together along the river about 2 miles from either Copland Mill or US70 Bridge. Sites are level and include a fire ring.
