Fishing at Cedarock Park
Trout Update for 2020 Season: The trout are estimated to arrive in mid-December. The first week of trout fishing (December 12-18) will be open to youth ages 15 and under. Youth must be accompanied by an adult with a valid NC Fishing License. The season will be opened for all ages on December 19. We will post an announcement to our website and social media pages when the pond is stocked. Stay tuned!
Bank fishing opportunities are available at the park’s two ponds and along Rock Creek. The main pond is stocked with catfish and bream year-round, and trout in the winter months.
You must have a valid NC Fishing License to fish in the park. To support the cost of stocking the ponds, we also require a Cedarock Park Fishing Pass. Daily passes are $5 and annual passes are $25. There is a total catch limit of six fish per day, per pass. The daily catch limit for trout is 4 fish. No catch & release of trout.
