Join us for an engaging new summer camp for kids ages 8-12! Each week will feature activities and learning experiences centered around a weekly theme.
- June 17-21: Aquatics
Aquatics week will be packed with fun activities such as kayaking/canoeing, catching creek critters, fishing, swimming in the pool and learning about the water around us.
- June 24-28: Get Outdoors
Get Outdoors week will focus on environmental education and outdoor skills. At the end of the week, we will have an optional Family Friday Campout where campers and parents are invited to camp out at Cedarock Park. Campers will have the opportunity to show what skills they’ve learned throughout the week. Campers will swim throughout the week.
- July 8-12: Science
This week of camp is for those who love science! We will perform experiments throughout the week, learn how science affects the world around us, and more! We will swim throughout the week.
- July 22-26: “Chopped”
For Cooking Week, campers will learn cooking basics, safety, nutritional values, and teamwork. On Friday, campers will be divided into teams and participate in a “Chopped” competition. This will be led as a partnership with the NC Cooperative Extension. *Campers do not need previous cooking experience to attend this camp.
- August 5-9: Multi-Sport
This week will feature different sports including disc golf, pickleball, ultimate frisbee, swimming, and more! We will also focus on the importance of personal fitness through yoga and tracking fitness progress throughout the week. Each camper will receive a 2019 Alamance Parks Camp t-shirt.
- Hours: 7:30am – 3:00pm

- Camp is based out of the Pleasant Grove Community Center, 3958 NC Highway 62 N • Burlington
- Weekly Cost: Residents – $75 for the first child and $65 for the second. Non-residents – $90 for the first child and $80 for the second.
