County Man Charged With Shooting Female

On Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at 7:00 a.m., Alamance County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Alamance Regional Medical Center in reference to a 22-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound.
During the investigation, it was determined the female victim was shot during an altercation between two male subjects in a residence at 721 N. Tillman St. Burlington, N.C., just north to the Burlington city limit. One of the males opened fire with a handgun striking the female. The victim was transported to the hospital. There were no other injuries.
A search warrant was later executed at 721 Tillman St. Burlington, N.C. A suspect, identified as the shooter, Bryan Lamar Gwynn of the residence, was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Gwynn was transported to the Alamance County Detention Center.
