Vehicle Pursuit in Alamance County Ends in Orange County

On March 29, 2021, at approximately 7:30pm, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office was asked to be on the lookout for two individuals traveling in a grey four-door Mazda who were involved in a drive-by shooting within the City of Graham. Alamance County Sheriff’s Office deputies identified a vehicle fitting the description and initiated a traffic stop. During the investigation, the driver and occupant did not comply with orders given to step out of the vehicle, and the driver drove away.

Two Alamance County Sheriff’s Office deputies pursued the vehicle on NC 54 where the vehicle crossed over the Alamance County/Orange County line. On Old Fayetteville Road, one of the officers took the opportunity to conduct a PIT maneuver which resulted in the suspect’s vehicle to turn around. The second deputy pursued the suspect who continued to drive about a quarter of a mile before the car broke down. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office placed Alexxa McKnight in their custody, and the other suspect fled the scene.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Corey Montrell Moore is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 336-570-6300.

This case is ongoing and additional charges will be made.
