Updated Information Regarding Driver of the Vehicle Involved in ACSO Car Chase from 3-29-21  

On March 29, 2021, at approximately 7:30pm, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office identified a vehicle fitting the description of one used in a drive-by shooting in the City of Graham.

A deputy with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop, and the driver identified himself as Corey Moore and gave his date of birth. The deputy then confirmed that it was the correct vehicle.

Once back-up arrived, deputies asked the occupants to step out of the vehicle in order to complete the investigation. The driver then fled the scene, and a chase ensued ending in Orange County in the city limits of Carrboro at the intersection of NC 54 and Old Fayetteville Road where Alexxa Mone’t McKnight was taken into custody.

After contacting Corey Moore, it was established that the driver gave a false name and date of birth to the deputy. The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office has now confirmed that the driver of the vehicle was Daquan Montrelle Johnson.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Daquan Montrelle Johnson is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 333-570-6300, 911, or report anonymously to Alamance County Crime Stoppers at 336-229-7100.

This case is ongoing and additional charges may be made.
