On Sunday, May 9, 2021, deputies with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office conducted a check point in the 4100 block of S NC 87 Hwy, Graham, NC. During this time, a vehicle was stopped because the driver was not in possession of a driver’s license. Through the investigation, a K-9 alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted. As a result of the search, Methamphetamines were located along with drug paraphernalia.
 
As a result of this investigation, Thomas James Albert Jennings was placed under arrest and charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamines, Driving While License Revoked, and Failure to Display Registration Plate. Mr. Jennings received a $5,000.00 secured bond and had a first appearance in court on Monday, May 10, 2021, at 2:00 pm.

On Monday, May 10, 2021, just after 1:00 am, deputies with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office responded to 4305 Michael Alan Court in Graham, N.C., in reference to a domestic disturbance where an individual was trying to break into a residence. When deputies arrived on-scene, it was reported that the victim’s ex-boyfriend had attempted to enter the residence through a window but had left prior to deputies arriving. Evidence was located at the scene to show that the suspect had attempted to enter the residence from the window as the victim reported.
 
A short time later, the suspect was located at 3313 S NC 119 Hwy – Lot 1 in Haw River, N.C., and placed under arrest. He was identified as Joshua Brandon Simber and charged with Attempted First-Degree Burglary, Injury to Real Property, and Resisting Delay Obstructing an Officer. Mr. Simber received no bond and was placed on a domestic hold. He had a first appearance in court on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
