On Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the Burlington Police Department in reference to a sexual assault case. The report indicated that approximately seven victims were sexually assaulted by a family member identified as Kenneth Ray King, Jr. The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit continued the investigation.
On May 30, Mr. King was charged and arrested for (F) Indecent liberties with a minor and two counts of (F) First degree sex offense with a minor. He was transported to the Alamance County Detention Center and given a $300,000 secured bond.
Edited to add: Mr. King was also charged on June 2, 2021, for two counts of (F) Indecent Liberties with a Minor and one count of (F) Statutory Sex Offense with a Child by an Adult. He was given a $100,000 secured bond.
