ACSO Traffic Stop Yields Meth

On August 26, 2021, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop on Thompson Mill Road. The officer then observed a small clear bag thrown from the passenger’s window onto the shoulder of the roadway. The officer retrieved the bag which had approximately .53 grams of methamphetamine located about fifteen feet behind the vehicle on the right shoulder of the roadway. After reviewing dashcam footage, the officer placed Ashley Harris under arrest for Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance.
