On October 11, 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office responded to Trollingwood-Hawfields Road after two calls were placed in reference to a neighbor’s home.

After deputies and a member of the Special Victims Unit arrived on scene, assessed the situation, and interviewed those at the home, Joshua Jones was arrested and transported to the Alamance County Detention Center. He was charged with two counts of second degree kidnapping, two counts of communicating threats, assault on a female, damage to real property, and breaking and entering with the intent to terrorize. After his first appearance, Mr. Jones was given a $77,000 secured bond.
