On October 28, 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report in reference to a fraud. Deputies were told that someone used fake one hundred dollar bills to purchase an iPhone 12 Pro from a victim in Alamance County. Deputies verified that the bills were not U.S. currency but instead money used as props for filming.

Deputies were able to locate the suspect, Zy’Kira Imoni Hines and the iPhone. Deputies were also able to recover two additional iPhones that were connected to cases involving the same defendant that were reported to the Sheriff’s Office and the Mebane Police Department.
