On November 9, 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. During the investigation, deputies discovered that Michael George Frederico had taken the vehicle on October 30 without permission and never returned it.

Mr. Frederico was charged with a felony larceny of a motor vehicle. He was located by the Burlington Police Department on November 10, 2021.

On November 25, 2021, the Sheriff’s Office responded to Thompson Mill Road in reference to a stolen vehicle. The victim left her vehicle in a driveway, and Sherry Robertson was seen driving the car away from a camera on the front porch.

Deputies began searching for the vehicle and located it on South 87 Highway. Ms. Robertson was arrested and charged with a felony larceny of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. She was given a $2,000 secured bond.

On November 27, 2021, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Alamance County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop on Maple Avenue due to the vehicle having a faulty brake light. After a positive K9 indication, deputies searched the vehicle and found a plastic bag of crystal methamphetamine under the gear shift, a loaded 9mm handgun behind the center console, as well as marijuana, digital scales, and needles. 

The driver, Antonio Onofrio Wakefield, was arrested and charged with three felonies and three misdemeanors. He was given a $20,000 secured bond.
