Board of Commissioners Notice of Special Joint Meeting for June 20, 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Alamance County Board of Commissioners and the Alamance-Burlington Board of Education will hold a joint meeting on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. This meeting will occur at the Alamance County Historic Courthouse, located at 1 SE Court Square, Graham, NC 27253. 

The purpose of the meeting is to hold a joint meeting with the Alamance-Burlington Board of Education and a mediator of mutual choice, pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 115C-431, to discuss the 2025-2026 budget for the Alamance Burlington School System, as adopted by the Alamance County Board of Commissioners on June 16, 2025.

Board of Commissioners Notice of an Emergency Meeting for June 19, 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Alamance County Board of Commissioners will hold an emergency meeting on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room, located on the 2nd Floor of the County Office Building, 124 West Elm St, Graham, NC 27253. 

The meeting’s purpose is to convene a closed session pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143-318.11(a)(3) to consult with an attorney employed or retained by the public body in order to preserve the attorney-client privilege between the attorney and the public body.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Alamance County Board of Commissioners will hold their regularly scheduled Board Meeting on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the Alamance County Historic Courthouse, located at 1 SE Court Square, Graham, NC. This is a change from the normal meeting location.

Board of Commissioners Special Meeting Notice For June 9, 2025 and June 10, 2025

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: The Alamance County Board of Commissioners will hold Special Meetings on the following dates: Monday, June 9, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. and Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in the Agriculture Building Auditorium located at 209-C N Graham-Hopedale Rd, Burlington, NC 27217. 

This meeting’s purpose is to review the manager’s recommended budget for the fiscal year 2025-2026.

Board of Equalization and Review: Notice of Meeting – June 12, 2025

NOTICE OF MEETINGS OF THE ALAMANCE COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW

Pursuant to N.C.G.S. 105-322 the Alamance County Board of Equalization and Review will meet as required by law.

PURPOSE OF MEETINGS

To hear upon request, any and all taxpayers who own or control taxable property assessed for taxation in Alamance County, with respect to the valuation of such property, or the property of others, and to fulfill other duties and responsibilities required by law.

TIME OF MEETING

The Board will convene for its meeting on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

The meeting will begin promptly at 9:00 am in the County Commissioners Meeting Room 2nd floor of the County Office Building.

The schedule for the hearing of appeals timely filed will be posted at the office of the Tax Administrator, serving as Clerk to the Board and will also be provided to individuals and organizations that have requested notice pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-318.12.

Board of Commissioners Notice of Budget Public Hearing for Fiscal Year 2025-2026: June 2nd at Historic Courthouse

The Alamance County Manager has submitted the proposed fiscal year 2025-2026 budget to the Alamance County Board of Commissioners. A public hearing on the proposed budget ordinance will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the Historic Courthouse, 2nd floor, at 1 SE Court Square, Graham, NC 27253. 

All interested citizens are encouraged to attend the public hearing and submit comments. The proposed budget ordinance is available online on the Alamance County website: www.alamancecountync.gov. Copies are also available in the offices of the Finance Officer and the Clerk to the Board for public inspection from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Accepting Applications for Vacancies on the Piedmont Triad Regional Council Workforce Development Board 

The Alamance County Board of Commissioners seeks citizens to fill two vacancies on the Piedmont Triad Workforce Development Board (PTRWDB). Each appointee will be appointed to a 3-year term. 

Applicants must be employed owners of businesses, chief executive officers, chief operations officers of non-governmental agencies, or other private sector executives with substantial management or policy responsibilities. Applicants should be someone providing employment opportunities in in-demand industry sectors/occupations. 

The PTRWDB is made up of volunteers from the public and private sectors who represent 10 counties in our local area: Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin. The PTRWDB oversees the NC Works Career Centers, which are local offices providing employment and training services. Board members act in an advisory capacity, providing input on strategic plan development and initiatives to be researched and implemented by the Board Director and staff.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Alamance County Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 9:30 am in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room located on the 2nd floor of the County Office Building, 124 West Elm Street, Graham, NC 27253. 

The purpose of this meeting is to review and discuss the proposed Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for Fiscal Years 2026-2030.
