The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office is closed for the remainder of the week (December 14-19) and plans to reopen Monday, December 21 due to positive COVID-19 cases identified in the administrative office.

“For over nine months, my employees have continued to serve the public by providing essential services during this pandemic. Unfortunately, several of my staff have recently tested positive for COVID-19. My thoughts and prayers are with them and their families for a full recovery. We hope to be back up and running as soon as it is safe,” says Sheriff Terry Johnson.

The Sheriff’s Office has been working closely with the Alamance County Health Department for ongoing testing and contact tracing. Additionally, all administrative offices and public spaces at the Sheriff’s Office have been sanitized and cleaned.

While offices are closed, limited staff remains available by phone at 336-570-6300 or by email at acso@alamance-nc.com. Please note that the Sheriff’s Office is unable to issue concealed carry and pistol purchase permits at this time. For emergencies, please dial 911.
