Male Charged for Possession of Stolen Firearm During Traffic Stop

On Sunday, July 25, 2021, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Alamance County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Gibsonville Ossipee Road and Lowe Road. During the course of the traffic stop, a K-9 was deployed onto the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and deputies discovered a handgun which had been reported stolen as well as marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia. The driver, Michael Dean Gulley, was charged and transported to the Alamance County Detention Center.
