On August 13, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) Patrol Deputies were dispatched to Green Level Church Road in Burlington, NC, in reference to a vehicle reported stolen by Onstar.
Once deputies arrived on scene, they located an individual later identified as Omar Lamont King easing into the driveway of 2448 Green Level Church Rd. in a 2021 Chevrolet Malibu fitting the description. During the investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle in question had not been returned to Enterprise Rental agency for over 30 days. Mr. King stated he was about to return it that day.
Mr. King was placed under arrest and transported to the Alamance County Detention Center. He was charged by Magistrate Order with one count of felony possession of stolen motor vehicle and placed under a $5,000 secured bond. Mr. King’s first appearance is set for August 16, at 2:00 p.m.
