On Sunday evening at 9:51 p.m., a Deputy was on routine patrol in a new housing development on Summer Walk Dr. south of Mebane, N.C. The development is currently under construction.

While in the area, the Deputy noticed a pick-up truck with an attached trailer at a new home under construction near the dead end. The Deputy observed an individual in a bright yellow vest lying under a piece of lumber. The subject was not found to be injured, but instead, appeared to be using the lumber in an attempt to hide from the Deputy. The subject was identified as Cristian Noel Argueta.

Upon further investigation, the truck, belonging to Mr. Argueta, and the attached trailer was loaded with more than forty (40) pieces of new lumber. It was also discovered that Mr. Argueta is not affiliated with the company building the homes and not permitted to be on site.

Mr. Argueta was arrested and transported to the Alamance County Detention Center.
